The Nikon D90 is a well constructed and designed Digital SLR camera. It rates consistently highly in all forms of testing for both functionality and image quality. It has a great LCD screen and Live View display.
The easily read menus and buttons save having to go back into menu system repeatedly and it offers a great range of automatic and manual controls.
A solid performer in all areas and should continue to give years of service. You should be able to get one for under US$900
Digital SLR Camera Reviews
Choosing a Digital SLR Camera
Ok, as promised we are not going into an endless review of the various features and specifications of a multitude of cameras here. The three we have chosen are all great cameras so simply put, you can't go wrong with any of them.
#1. Nikon D90
#2. Canon EOS 40D
The Canon EOS 40D offers excellent color accuracy, superior low light performance and a wide dynamic range with low noise levels.
A well thought out and designed camera with little touches like the ability to continue writing to the card even of the card door is accidentally opened.
Pentax K10D
The Pentax K10D has been designed from a photographer's point of view with a logical layout and features.
It has mechanical image stabilization and various priority modes for aperture, shutter speed etc.
A quality camera as would be expected from the Pentax range.
If you want a great Digital SLR Camera then any one of these are a safe bet.
